On October 8th 2024, the CSO Platform proudly attended a pivotal meeting hosted by the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice. Together we are working towards the abolishment of Torture in Liberia. In Liberia there are ways in dealing with cases of Torture, inhumane treatment, Expulsion, Extradition and return of victims that was allegedly tortured. Torture is not permitted in any of the courts and also there is no law that warrant torture in any country. This meeting marks an important step in strengthening human rights and ensuring justice for all. We are committed to supporting initiatives that promote dignity, accountability, and a society free from torture.
